Why Upgrade Your 2004–2006 R1?

The "5VY" generation R1 is legendary for its explosive power delivery. However, the stock airbox was designed to meet strict noise regulations, which can cause a slight hesitation or "soft" feel in the lower rev range. The YA-1004 "uncorks" the intake tract, resulting in a crisper throttle response and a more linear power curve.
