The Red Rooster Performance (RRP) Vertex series is the definitive performance exhaust for the Royal Enfield LS410 engine platform, which powers the Himalayan 411 and Scram 411.

Notably, this system also extends compatibility to the newly released Scram 440 (2025/2026), as it shares the fundamental chassis and exhaust routing of the 411 platform.

Variant Codes & Finishes

  • RRPVB (Black Matte): A heat-resistant matte black ceramic coating. Ideal for the "stealth" look and matches the blacked-out frames of the Scram and Himalayan.

  • RRPVM (Matte/Brushed): A satin, brushed stainless steel finish. This is the most popular for ADV riders because it hides trail scratches and boot scuffs much better than a polished finish.

  • RRPVP (Polish): A high-luster mirror chrome finish for those who prefer a traditional, bright aesthetic.

Performance & Technical Specs

Feature Specification Impact
Weight ~3.12 kg Roughly 50% lighter than the stock silencer, improving flickability.
Power Gain Up to 10% Increase Noticeable boost in mid-range torque, helping with steep climbs and highway overtakes.
Material SS304 Stainless Steel Highest commercial grade; guaranteed against rust for life.
Insulation Ceramic Wool Better heat dissipation than glass wool; keeps the sound "deep" for years.

Sound Profile: The "Adventure Bark"

The Vertex is designed specifically to not be "ear-splitting" on long highway tours:

  • Low End: A deep, refined thump that is much more substantial than the "sewing machine" sound of the stock pipe.

  • Top End: An aggressive, sporty bark when you open the throttle, giving the bike a "big-bore" personality.

  • Baffle (DB Killer): Comes pre-installed. It is recommended to keep it in for long-distance touring to prevent rider fatigue, though it is easily removable for off-road use.

Important Fitment Notes

  1. Himalayan 411 / Scram 411: Direct "plug-and-play" slip-on.

  2. Scram 440: While the engine displacement has increased, the mounting points for the slip-on remain compatible.

  3. Himalayan 450 (Liquid Cooled): Will not fit. The new 450 requires the Vertex Pro or Orion series due to completely different exhaust routing.

  4. Pannier Compatibility: The Vertex is designed with a slim profile to ensure it does not interfere with most aftermarket or OEM pannier stays/luggage racks.

Installation & Maintenance

  • No Remap Needed: The stock ECU (BS4, BS6, and the new 440) can compensate for this slip-on without issues.

  • Lifetime Warranty: RRP provides a lifetime warranty on the material against rust and manufacturing defects.

Pro-Tip: If you have the Matte (RRPVM) version, use a bit of WD-40 on a rag to wipe down the canister after a wash; it keeps the brushed finish looking uniform and helps shed mud on your next trail ride.
